Laptops of 2013: What to Expect
All the pieces are in place for a surge in laptop sales next year--from new Intel chips to the planned launch of the Windows 8 operating system to sleeker designs.


Tablets and smartphones are in, but don't count laptops out. Impressive new laptops planned for 2012 promise to be thinner, lighter, and faster, as well as to carry longer-lasting batteries.

Litl has quickly acted on rumors by launching its first computer, the Webbook. 
The PC breaks away from the usual netbook market through a unique 12-inch LCD that bends almost completely backwards and turns the system into an easel-like display; the mode is considered ideal for video watching or for sharing content with someone else. 
To match, the screen uses a high-quality LCD with a 178-degree viewing angle and better colors, and unlike most netbooks carries a dedicated (but unnamed) GPU that can decode H.264 video at up to 720p. 

 The Flybook v33i, a laptop with tablet-style swivel widescreen. It has an integrated GSM/EDGE and Wifi connectivity that gives you quick and easy wireless access around the world. Flybook v33i is powered by Intel Pentium M 1.1Ghz processor and comes with 100GB HDD, 2GB RAM and also a TV-out for all your DVR needs. Other features include integrated microphone, USB 2.0, 2 x Firewire, PCMCIA, LAN, modem, and audio. The Flybook v33i is available in black or red for $2299.

Here’s what you need to know about the iPad: it’s a 9.7-inch touchscreen pad that’s half an inch thick, sports WiFi and 3G, and runs apps, reads e-books and lasts 10 hours on a charge. And it’s one of the best things to happen to Intel (INTC) rival ARM Holdings (ARMH).
